Consulting for your Online Business

Update: I have decided to stop offering consulting services temporarily because I want to focus my time on other things right now. Please see the Entrepreneurship category of my blog for some articles that may help. Thank you for understanding.

I regularly receive emails from entrepreneurs interested in starting their own online business. It’s been fun to see people get excited and take their first steps toward entrepreneurship and financial independence, and I’ve enjoyed helping them and answering their questions.

Many people have seen the success of my Music Teacher’s Helper and Studio Helper businesses, and they want similar results for themselves. Over the past several years in creating these businesses, I’ve learned how to avoid many typical pitfalls, usually because I fell into them myself. But you don’t have to make the same mistakes. I’m now ready to teach you the factors, methods, and resources I’ve used that can speed up your business growth, save you time, and make you more money.

Get One-on-one Help From Someone Who’s Already Done It

While I’m willing to consult any type of business, I will probably be most helpful to entrepreneurs interested in creating an online subscription-based web application, since this is where most of my experience lies, although much of what I have learned will apply to any online business.

Here are some of the most common issues I’ve helped entrepreneurs with and that I can help you with, too:

  • Choosing what business you want you create. If you don’t have any ideas, I can help you come up with some. If you have an idea, I can help you determine whether it has a chance at success or not.
  • Planning your product. If you’re lost and don’t know where to start, I can guide you. If you’re stuck on technical issues like what programming language you should use, or how to design your website and its functionality, I can help.
  • Finding and hiring programmers and other workers. I can help you craft your job posting, show you where to post it, and help you review your applicants to ensure you’re hiring quality help. I can also help you determine salaries, how to pay your overseas workers, and how to maximize their efficiency and communication on the job.
  • Increasing Personal Productivity. I can help you be more productive with your own time, accomplish more in less time, and feel more in control of your life.
  • Finding customers. I can help you get the word out about your product and teach you how to optimize your message for best results.

Depending on your situation, needs, and business, the help I can offer you could easily save you thousands of dollars and hours of time on creating your business, giving you a head start and helping you avoid pitfalls that many entrepreneurs make. You’ll not only know what you need to do to get started, you’ll also have the help of someone who’s already been there and done that to look at your situation individually and give custom advice just for you.

Costs and Guarantee

I charge $150 per hour for consulting, with a minimum of one hour. This is extremely low considering how much I make per hour on my business, but it filters out those who aren’t as serious, and lets me focus my time on those who are determined to create a successful business. Because I value my time and yours, I may also choose not to work with you if I’m not confident that I can help with your situation. I am happy to consult via email or phone. However, note that I’m currently in an Asia time zone, so if you’re in the U.S. or Canada, it will be an early morning or late night call.

I also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This means if for any reason you’re not 100% satisfied and you feel like my time and advice wasn’t as helpful for you as you’d hoped, then let me know (within 30 days please), and I’ll refund all of it for you. If I’m not providing you good service, you shouldn’t have to pay me.

Many have also asked if I’m willing to license copies of Music Teacher’s Helper or Studio Helper to be rebranded and resold as different products, such as administrative software for tennis coaches or hair dressers or physiotherapists (I’ve heard them all). Right now, the answer is “no,” I’m not interested in licensing the software, but I am willing to help you create those businesses yourself as a consultant. At some point, I may decide to branch out into other industries, but I don’t know which ones or when this would be.

If you’re interested in having me work as a consultant for your business, and are ready to get the answers and guidance you need to move ahead to success, please fill out the form below to get started.

Thank you and I look forward to working with you!
