Just a few weeks ago, my third daughter, Aysia Mae was born! She’s a sweet addition to our family, and definitely a mama’s girl. Sometimes she’ll let me hold her without crying, but she doesn’t like being away from her mom for long.
Everything went perfectly with the birth, which we did in our home bathtub with a doctor and midwife present. Home births aren’t common in Costa Rica, but we’re so glad we made that choice. It was a beautiful birth and much more comfortable than our last two hospital births.
Aysia came almost a month early, was just under 6 pounds, and mommy and baby are in perfect health. Emily and Marie are enjoying being older sisters, but anxiously awaiting the day when Aysia can get up and play with them.
And now I present, Aysia Mae Pearce! Thanks to my mom for taking these awesome pictures.

She is such a beauty and so tiny and precious. I’m glad she lets me hold her :) At least until she just can’t cope without the mama juice.
It’s cute to watch the other girls with her – especially Emily who loves to hold her.
So glad I am here to meet and spend time with her (and everyone else too :) )

She is adorable! I’m so glad everything went so well. I love the family picture at the end. That should be a christmas card.

Actually she doesn’t have much choice about me holding her. But I’m glad that she is usually HAPPY to have me hold her.

Thanks! Yeah, you can always count on Mom to get me out of my wardrobe comfort zone and into things that look a little better. She actually got us all these coordinated outfits. And yes, it is comfortable.

Beautiful baby girl. She’s a beautiful addition to a beautiful family. Congratulations. Both of my boys were also born at home. Both births were very different but equally amazing. I’m glad you had that experience.

It is so fun to have sweet little Aysia in our family. She is growing so much every day and she really is such a mama’s girl. But I simply adore her, so that is fine with me. :)

Congratulations! So glad you had a great home birth. I’d love to hear the story of Aysia’s birth, and I’m curious why you had both a doctor and midwife present. Many blessings!
