Yes, that's a problem of mine. Also, I really dislike tension, so when someone's angry or me, even if it's not my fault, I'm troubled emotionally until it's resolved, so for my own sake, I want to hurry and finish the project. But even though I always finish on time, and have even discounted, they're never satisfied, and continue to demand. I'm working on not letting myself get emotionally involved, but that's been challenging for me. I will definitely drop them when the project is over. I'm too afraid of what they might do if I dropped them now since they're so dependent on the software I wrote for them. They make it seem like their business would fall apart.

Well, when you put it that way... I don't know :) I think you are too nice sometimes. If I were treated the way you describe, I doubt I would even answer the phone. I have no problem dropping unpleasant clients. I don't think I've ever had anyone approach me with anger though, so I don't know how I would respond. I'd probably just ignore them.

@Dustin - Wow, thanks! Really! Although I wouldn't wish this client on anybody! They pay three months late, are not appreciative, and are rude in their demands (e-mailing or phoning 10 times in a five minute period with anger, etc., just because of mis-communication in their own company.) Now I charge in advance for any project I do for them, and don't start until the money is received. I think I'll drop them as soon as I get the chance. Are you sure you want them?

Yes, my back is gradually getting better. It gets a little sensitive sometimes, and I just need to give it enough rest and relaxation I guess. My favorite things about Panama so far have been hearing all the cool birds, the scent of tropical flowers in the air, and interacting in Spanish again. Most of all, I love the adventure of it all. I love it that you are so adventurous too Sweetie! You make a very fun vacation partner!!

Thank you for all your comments!
About Jen's back - she hasn't been lifting much, but has been bending over a lot. It felt a lot better after a good night's rest, and only partially came back this evening.
@Dad - That's awesome! We get to go to Japan together!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to join in. I'm so excited! YAY!!! Also, I was surprised I understood that much Spanish, too. However, I think he was more of an exception because there are other people I've heard since, where I couldn't understand more than 10% of what they were saying. He was also talking about travel-related things which I had studied up on a bit. I think my average overall comprehension is around 30-40%.

Brandon, Glad you arrived safely. It's a bummer that you and your wife don't feel well. You'll likely feel better after you become acclimated and get over the long flights and lay-overs. We're missing you at TM - had five guests last weekl, one of whom joined (he's giving his Icebreaker next week), and had one guest this week. Dave Kunze was TM last week and did an excellent job, and he gave a great Icebreaker this week. Enjoy that heat; although, I don't know how you can stand the humidity.
