Among the many exciting passion projects we’re working on these days, is an immersive 3-week retreat for ten families to join us this summer in the ancient heart of Transylvania, Romania!
At Home in the World Family Retreat, June 28 – July 19, 2018
This retreat is going to be a transformational experience, I believe, for every family who participates (including my own). And we’re excited to announce that our doors are now officially open for public pre-registration!
At the heart of our purpose in this retreat is providing the supportive opportunity as families to connect deeply with our intentions and craft the stories we want to be living together as we move throughout life. Of course, we’ll also have discussions, activities, games, and more, covering everything from how to travel effectively, sustainably, and affordably long-term, to empowering perspectives around finances and income, to enhancing our learning, deepening our family relationships and our contribution to the world, while nurturing our own well-being along the way, and so much more. By the end, we’ll have co-created a community of friends to support each other long into our journeys.
In the midst of this learning program, we’ll also experience some of the most iconic and spectacular excursions in Eastern Europe, from castles and healing mineral waters, to forested hikes, cultural festivals, and more.
We’re running this retreat with the Kaponay Family, whom we met in 2017 (and are also creating our Into the Wind documentary with). Bobi Kaponay was born in this part of Transylvania, speaks the language, and has a unique advantage into understanding the culture and history of this part of the world, in which we’ll all get to participate.
While we are now accepting applications, and would like to have everyone who applies participate, due to the intimate nature of this retreat, and the beautiful retreat center we’ve chosen, we are only able to accept ten families to join us in this incredible opportunity for learning and connection. We hope one of them will be you!
If this sounds like an experience you might like to be a part of, please read through our handbook which gives a more comprehensive description of what this retreat is and what we’ll be creating together. Then if it still resonates, please apply on our pre-registration form, and we’ll be in touch soon! Likewise, if you know anyone else who may be interested, please feel free to share and pass this information onto them.
We so look forward to meeting with you and sharing in this journey together!
