San Diego Visit 2017 California / Travel / United States

Back in March 2017, we spent a few weeks in San Diego, California where we attended a conference with some of our friends and team members, visited family, shot some testimonial videos for my Music Teacher’s Helper business, and visited a few beautiful parts around this city.

Our 12-year old daughter Marie edited a fun video from footage I took during our time there, which you can watch below. I love that two of my daughters are becoming quite skilled video editors.

And here are a few additional photos with some notes about our time in San Diego.

Visiting Family

While Jen and I went to High Performance Academy with my brother and some friends and members of our teams from our various projects, the girls stayed with their cousins (Jen’s step-sister’s family), and we enjoyed several wonderful meals and conversations together.

Anza-Borrego State Park

We also went with them to see the wildflowers at the beautiful Anza-Borrego state park.

La Jolla Cove

During part of our trip, we stayed in La Jolla, and loved the beautiful scenery around La Jolla cove.

There were sea lions lounging about, and we were able to get quite close to them.

Balboa Park

We also spent an afternoon strolling through Balboa Park.

This girl is so funny.

In addition to all of this, during this time in San Diego, we also closed on our new house in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! (San Miguel is now going to be the location of the 2018 Family Adventure Summit over Day of the Dead!)

Jen and I also held a small intuition workshop with a few people who came. It was fun to share what we’ve learned on that topic and facilitating others tuning in more to themselves.

We love traveling to new places and the way it shakes us out of our routine, brings us closer as a family, gives us new experiences to integrate, and helps us learn more about ourselves and the world. If you’d like to learn more about how you can travel long-term with your family, and meet hundreds of others who are doing it, consider attending the Family Adventure Summit this year, or our At Home in the World Family Retreat.
