The Family Travel Event That Everyone Is Talking About! Entrepreneurship / Personal

You may have noticed that lately, we haven’t written on this blog as often as we used to. The reason? We’ve been busy preparing for the most awesome, epic event of our lives!

Our team has been working so hard for over a year to put on this event. But even though it was our first year, it turned out to be everything we dreamed it to be and more! I am so filled with gratitude this week and am so honored to have been able to put on this event.

The people who came were incredible and made all the difference in the energy of our event. We had some of the longest, most well-traveled families in the world at this conference.  Families who have sold their houses and possessions to travel nomadically, who have sailed around the world, biked across continents, lived out of a small vehicle, and are doing their best to live intentionally and to give their kids an epic education.

We also had several millionaires and entrepreneurs with businesses of various sizes who taught us about how to grow our own businesses and increase our reach through social media.

We had families who have mastered the art of stretching their dollar to the point where travel almost becomes free. Everyone there was amazing and committed to living fully, being more present with their families, and living from their heart wherever life takes them. And you can’t help but feel inspired and lifted up by being around these people.

We had dozens of well-presented sessions, full of helpful information, discussions, and opportunities to introspect. We had several social activities built into the conference including a family picnic and a “worldschool lunch” at one of the biggest farmer’s markets I’ve ever seen, as well as a Dad’s night and a Mom’s night.

And the kids program! Wow! We had over 40 different activities going on! To highlight a few: rock climbing, guitar lessons, professional face painting instruction, Minecraft hacking, jewelry making, knitting, geocaching, photography lessons, juggling, and songwriting.

This was in addition to the art room, which was open constantly with more art supplies than a small store. The family drum circle, and first nations pow-wow dancer brought some of the Canadian culture to our conference as we learned and danced together as families.

At the risk of sounding boastful, I am very proud of how this event turned out. And the response completely exceeded my expectations. As a testament to how much these families enjoyed the event, over 72% of the families who attended have already signed up for next year!! That’s 37 families who have already registered for Family Adventure Summit in 2018! (Or 144 people out of the almost 200 in attendance!)

This means that if you want to attend this event next year, you had better get your ticket fast, because we WILL sell out. And likely soon.

Oh! I should tell you where next year’s event is. It’s one of my favorite places in the world. We love it so much that after traveling through 36 countries, this is one where we’ve decided to create a home. You guessed it:

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico!

But what’s even better is that we’ve structured the event around Day of the Dead so you can fully participate in this incredible Mexican celebration!

Tickets are for sale on early bird right now, and you can get them here.

To get an idea of the energy of this event, and of our next year’s location, check out these two videos. The first one I put together at the event (staying up quite late doing so). The second is all from footage I’ve taken around San Miguel over the past couple years.
